New Council Members
Brian Lynn is a Holland native. He graduated from Holland Public Schools (’09) and Hope College (’13). He is engaged to Bri Burking whom he met while attending Hope. They plan to be married in Holland in May of 2016. Brian lives on west 29th street in a home that he purchased in 2013 as a foreclosure and completely renovated. He is the son of Jack and Michele Lynn and has three sisters; all whom graduated from Holland Public Schools and are pursuing or in careers in education. Brian has a deep love for the city of Holland and the community. He enjoys working in the yard, reading, sports, and time with his family. Brian works for Meijer at their corporate headquarters as an Inventory Control Analyst. He’s been with the company since graduating from Hope.
Quincy Byrd has been sworn in as our at-large councilman. Quincy has called Holland his home for nearly 20 years. His wife Sara works at Jefferson elementary school. They have 4 children Quincy II, Holly, Ethan, and Daisy.
Quincy and his family like hiking through park trails, neighborhood walks, sunny beach days, and outdoor activities. He enjoys giving back by serving as a board member for the Lakeshore Habitat for Humanity, and is involved in the Neighborhood Revitalization Committee. Quincy is also an active member of his local church, Shekinah Revival Ministries. He is a dedicated volunteer to the children’s ministry. He served in the US army and later in life attended Cornerstone University. He works as a metrologist at Stone Plastics in Zeeland.
